It's been hard to stay focused on the current Fall Season.
The phone is ringing with someone asking about gingerbread cookies and December shipping,
I'm busy ordering holiday supplies and Sandy is working on the Holiday work schedules.
But I'm going to try.
Christmas Cookie decorating has started already but
we are baking and decorating Fall Leaves and Turkeys too!
I love fall colors. The rustic reds, golden yellows and vibrant oranges
are warm and just enough color for me. I tend to be a neutral color person
anyways, my favorite outfit is brown and cream with maybe a blue scarf. So accents of colors
are my favorite way to add interest. When our sugar cookies do need a little brightening up,
I just add a touch of sanding sugar for that perfect sparkle.
And sanding sugar can cover mistakes very well.
Decorated & Sugared Fall Leaves
2 years, I can't stop designing cookie displays. Our bakery, Country Cupboard Cookies, did the
Wedding Cookie Table for both weddings and we had great time designing and baking the cookies.
When entertaining at home, it's so easy to start with a cookie tray or tier and build around it. Add texture and color for your theme and everything looks more delicious!
I really love baking this time of year. Cool weather makes happy bakers and even the icing seems to work better for decorating. Pumpkin Pie Spices, caramel and toffee add-ins, and molasses
based cookies are welcome treats this time of year.
It's a great time of year for shipping cookies too, no worries about the heat melting
that box of chocolate chips. Wishing someone a Happy Thanksgiving can be made all the more sweeter with a gift box of homebaked cookies and brownies.
Chocolate Chip cookies are a traditional favorite around the bakery, but everyone is loving our seasonal
Pumpkin White Chocolate Chunk Cookie, a soft and sugary cookie baked moist and delicious with molasses, pumpkin pie spices and added Belgian White Chocolate Chunks. Yum!!
